Romantic Wedding Vows
If you’re like me, you understand that there is nothing more romantic than a wedding. A time when two people pledge their eternal love and loyalty…till death do you part. It’s enough to make any romantic tear up. And even if you’re not a romantic, you still appreciate and admire the love they had for each other. One of the most romantic parts of the wedding ceremony for me are the wedding vows. So if traditional wedding vows don’t interest you, and you would rather write something that can express the love that you have for your future spouse, sometimes the task can be overwhelming. Romantic wedding vows are quickly becoming more popular as couples choose different ways from the norm to pledge eternal love before family and friends. If you have a mental block, or just need some ideas to help get you started, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of my favorite romantic wedding vows.
I love you, ___. You are my best friend and today I give myself to you in marriage. I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and distress. I promise to love you in good times and in bad times, when life is easy and when it seems hard. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, for the rest of my life.
_______, I love you. You are my best friend and will be forever. Today I give myself to you in marriage to be your husband/wife. I promise to encourage you, to laugh with you and to comfort you in times of sorrow. I promise to love you in good times and bad. I promise to cherish and respect you. I vow to be loyal, faithful and true for as long as we both shall live. Because of you, I laugh, I smile, and I dare to dream. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you, caring, loving and being there for you in all life has. I will always strive to be the person that you can trust, talk to and the person that will always understand. I will make my home in your heart. These promises I give you today and all of the days of our lives. Our love has given us wings and our journey begins today.
_____, today I become your (husband/wife) and you become my (wife/husband). I will strive to give you the best of myself every day. I promise to respect you as a whole person with your own interests and needs, and to realize that those are sometimes different, but no less important than my own. I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to face change as we both change, keeping our relationship alive and exciting. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how — completely and forever
____, All that I am and all that I have, I offer to you in love and in joy. From this day forward I will love and comfort you, hold you close, and prize you above all others. I will remain faithful and true to you all the days of our lives
There are so many ways to tell your loved one just what they mean to you in your handwritten romantic wedding vows, though when you’re writing them you may discover that finding the right words is difficult. Just think of your soon to be husband or wife and the things you love about them, and the words will come. Romantic wedding vows are something they are going to remember forever and carry in their hearts.
